Feeling the morning pulse

When you talk about the city that never sleeps you usually mean NY. But as we were told in the beginning of this project I ve been basing my photos and posts on my own experience. And compared to Sweden, and in generally Gothenburg, I have to say; Milan goes to bed really late, and wakes up even earlier...
So you guys (school leading) gave us the friday and saturday off. Based on a riot from almost all first year students. ;)
I decided to make the market on Pta Romana the first stop this morning. I ve been there before, and also on the one in san Ambroggio, but those times I didnt bring my camera. And besides this one is by far the best one close to my house.
Actually I have to admitt I didnt buy anything except for some bread for my parents. (they are visiting me this very week, and the obviously have a thing for ciabatta)
-Back to the market.
Besides from the one thing I actually did buy I was walking around like a lost turist among all the tables filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, sausages, fish, clothes and of course a lot of garbage.
As I expected there was a lot of people hurrying through the stands with bags filled of all kinds of food despite the early morning.
What still amazes is that everyone here is so full of energy and life. People are so emotional. They talk loud gesticulating frenetic like they re talking about something that concerns life or death. Well at least it seemd like that to me. I was actually almost having a stroke a couple of times when the sellers were shouting out the offers of the day. But now when I think about it I just love it and want to be a part of it. And I prefer it that way, especially much rather than deadly silence. Swedes never talk in a loud voice, if they re not drunk or very, very, upset that is.
The next stop was Santa Maria delle Grazie to see the Last supper. But I ll tell you all about it in my next post. I ll even tell you about my visit in Teatro alla Scala for the Ballet of Romeo and Juliet. Stay tuned ;)
lots of love!
