One more shot!

So here we go again! After having some trouble logging on to my account i finally managed to get things working again... !

So as I said earlier I m blogging about the inspiration for my final exam, the project for the first year.
The name of my blog is "freestyling through Milan". And I feel that I have to explain it or change the name. My project is about flowers. Well life as a flower in Milan. Thats kind of hard to explain, but I ll try my best.

Where I come from (Sweden) people in generally tend to be cold. Well, its not that everybody s rude or arrogant. They re just tend to be more quiet and stiff than mediterranean people. The social life itself are so different. Thats the first thing I noticed after arriving in Milan.

I have this habit... Going for an hour long walks late in the night, or maybe lets say in the late evening. When I go for a walk in sweden around 11 p.m. it s so quiet you can hear your own heart beat, or the solid ecco of your footsteps bouncing off the building walls. Its like being in a deserted city...
So then I went for my first walk here in Milan... I walked from where I live (pza 5 giornate) to porta Romana viale Sabotino and back. As I never´ve met anyone during my walks in Gothenburg sweden I dressed as I use to. That means like a homeless person.... Well! comfortable clothes that is... I mean it was tuesday and 23.30 p.m. Way past bedtime for the people I m use to; swedes. As I walked down towards pta romana I soon discovered how wrong I was... There where litteraly people everywhere. They were standing outside different bars and restaurants. Laughing, talking, drinking...

"Wow non criminal people actually stay out past 10 p.m. and
even drink on working days"

is the first thought that went through my mind... The second was of course

" What am I wearing?! How the F* could I put on this! I look like a mental patient that just escaped from some institution"

The third thougt was " God I m such a swedish hill-Bille "

And when we sat down in the school theatre for the first time to talk about the project and how we were supposed to relate it to our impressions from Milan I knew from the start what I was going to be inspired from! My very own impression... The blooming life of Milan...

Before I went to Milan people told me how dirty it was.. How they would rather die than take a swim in Navigli. How poor the nature was... How polluted the air is.. Compared to Sweden of course.. Where we have many lakes and forrest on a walking distanse from the main street Kungsportsavenyn in Gothenburg. Yes the forrest is located 20 minutes of walking from central Gothenburg and is actually so big that you could easily get lost in it!

So with all the fresh air, many lakes and enormous amount of forrests, shouldnt we be the richest people? The healthiest? The most energetic and life capturing?

I'm no longer sure. Well, for fact, I know its not like that. Swedish people lock themselves in after 8-, or well to exaggerate lets assume 9 p.m. during working days ad even the thougth of drinkin on such day whitout celebrating some special occasion makes you immediately an alcoholic!
Mamma mia! ;)

So my project is about this.. the heartbeat of Milan... I am seeing this beautiful rose (well its going to be a dress inspired by a rose) standing in the middle of, for instanse Corso Buenos Aires... Shining more and clearer than ever. Without any forests, lakes och crystal clear air...

So ok. Now I m chaning the name of my blog! Tomorrow I ll tell you about what I ve been up to, and I will also upload pictures! Finally!!

good night whoever you are!
